Three weeks of freedom = boredom + chores

I've been ignoring my blog lately. Frankly I am bored. I finally finished school August 10, and I have been bored since. I'm too tired to do anything, yet to bored to just sit and watch t.v. One of our t.v.'s went pink! The colour tube on it finally blew, so now everything is in a pink "fog." So I've had to share the t.v., which is not good when all my sister watches is those reality shows. The reality WEDDING shows. Gosh. I understand that a wedding is a big step in you life, but its not there was never a wedding before your own, and its not like no one else has ever been marriage. I find a lot of those weddings are a big show of "look at what we have, us us us." Instead of sharing your joy w/ others, it a parade of your wealth (or lack of.) I have two words for it all: Cash Bar.

I've been planning on trying to read ahead. I know how dorky that sounds, but I was going through the registration book a few days ago and realized that the two ENG classes I signed up for totally at least 24 novels. A hell of a lot of books. I might be buying some from a friend of mine who took one of the classes previously. And I shouldn't say that I am looking forward to back-to-school, but I would like something to do. If only every month could be as good as september! I'm turning 20 on the 14th of september, and september is the easiest school month! No essays, no assignments, just reading.

I'm playing my final baseball tournament for the summer on Saturday and Sunday. I hope we win at least 1 of our games. We've lost the last, despite me being on FIRE last monday. I made an out, caught 3/4 of the balls that came to me, and I even hit one over the short-stops' head! Booya. Now if I do that on Saturday, thats another story. I really want to be an asset, so I want to help win our first game. If I don't, no one will really be suprised. If I do, well, I get free beer. Beeeerrrrr....

Hrm..what else is new? Anita called off her wedding and moved it to...Cancun? I think? I really wanted to see her dress. Oh well, there is always pictures. Anyways, I guess I'll wait for something exciting to happen before I post again.

Summer Va-cay Starts in August

Only 7 Days until school is over and summer vacation can begin. Then I will have exactly 1 month of nothingness before it all starts again. Whatever shall I do w/ my time? I'll still be working 3 days a week, and baseball, but other than that, the world is my backyard? I plan on trying to go biking more, save that the weather permits it.
Nothing much has been really happening. Nothing interesting or even notable. BUT I have hit a new level of irritation b/c of stupid customers. Here is my rendition of a day as a post office slave...

Me: *Serving a customer who just wants 1 stamp.*
Customer: "Oh, are you in training?"
Me: "No"
C: "But isn't she training you."
Me: "No, I'm training her."
C: "Oh, but you're new right?"
Me: "No, I'm training her b/c I've been working here for 4 years."

C: "Oh, well I've never seen you here before...(pause)...and I didn't know there was a store here...(pause)...I didn't know there was a post office here. You should post a sign."
Me: "There is a sign posted, a rather large sign at the very front of the store. And if you've never been here before, that would explain why you've never seen me before?"
C: "Where is your manager, I don't like your attitude."
Me: "Where is your mother, I don't like your stupidity."

C: "Huh?"
Me: "I am the post master tonight."
C: "Okay, but where's your boss?"
Me: "ARG!!!!" *Attacks customer w/ post office date stamp.*
C: ....Can you stamp my envelope for me while you're at it?

Life as I know it in retail. I think I need a different part-time job, someday.
