Pigeons!!!!

So Tuesdays are the longest days ever. 9 am classes to HHSB night practises. Too long downtown! My sinuses are very stuffy just from the pollution...
Highlights of today: Pidgeons
Location: Queen's Park
Ppl involved: Jenn and I
Story: We walk upto a flock of bathing pidgeons and I yell (for some reason even I can't explain) "PIDGEONS!" and we are both instantly attacked by a giant flock of wet, terrified pidgeons. I laughed, Jenn laughed, and then were were scared b/c they wouldn't stop flying. Desiree, if you were there, I think you would've cried. ;)
After all this there was a very boring history lecture, and then...HHSB! We only played for about 30 mins, but Jenn and I were so hyped from playing that we swore to play some more once we got to her house. 20 mins later we ended up ordering a pizza just to find out if "fugdems" was as good as they make him out to be. The pizza guy did not show up w/ a giant piece of fudge w/ arms and legs. I'm not suprised, yet almost disappionted(?) We ended up watching House and talking for many hours (also w/ the company of Jamie, a friend of Jenn.)
All in all, I had a long and satisfying day.
A special note to anyone reading this, cheetah power drink might not have caffiene, but it is 140 calories for half of a massive can, its mostly sodium (bloating), and it tastes like those rocket candies you used to get when you were a kid at halloween. I would probably drink it anyways, if it was in a much much MUCH smaller can. 710ml?! That's almost 3 cups. Crazy! Almost as crazy as a 24 min long song which has no lyrics, only humming. GREAT!
"PIDGEONS!!"
p.s. I am very tired, so I know when I re-read this post, I will swear to myself to go to bed as early as possible on tuesdays. :)

Guinness!

You Are Guinness
You know beer well, and you'll only drink the best beers in the world.Watered down beers disgust you, as do the people who drink them. When you drink, you tend to become a bit of a know it all - especially about subjects you don't know well. But your friends tolerate your drunken ways, because you introduce them to the best beers around.
What's" Your Beer Personality?

Half Way Over the Hill but Through the Woods

I have to say, that teenage years are probably the most difficult years to live through. I look back at what is was like to be in high school, stuck in a uniform all day w/ other ppl telling you where to be and what to do all the time. Then you reach university and break free from that structure, thinking that you have the freedom to be treated as a person. But then the glitter wears off a bit, and you realize that school still sucks!! So I suppose now that my teenage years are over, the latter half being much more interesting that the previous half, I see that I am truelly out of the woods. But then again, I might not be able to see the forest for the trees. There is probably another area I get to work through that I just don't know about yet. All I know is that I probably don't have to join the real working world for another three years, so I can bask in adulthood while not experiencing adult things (i.e. I will not complain about having a morgage for many a year to come!)

Now about my actual Birth Day. I spent 4 hours sitting in a lecture hall, 4 hours at work, 2 hours on the subway, 1 hour trekking across campus to go refund a book while carrying 10 other books...and then getting shoved by some asian guy so that my very hot coffee spills on my jacket (and his response was "You were in my way..."*walks off.*) A 1/2 hour at home shoving food in my face b/c I had no time to eat, and then 15 mins. writting on my blog about how eventful my birthday was. I got some nice presents, and a lady from work bought me flowers. (*I'd like to thank the academy, and all the little ppl I had to step on to be the 20 year old I am today*) Ohhhhh just kidding!

First week back to school really bums me out. Except for Jenn, who prevailed it all w/ me! Even though she did have a lapse in judgement (only physical) which resulted in a very bruised ass. For future reference to anyone w/ a bike, don't try to back it up w/o looking where you are going first b/c it might result in humility in front of strangers (or ppl you thought were strangers and end up being random ppl you actually know.) But honestly Jenn, I thought you broke something when you fell. Little did I know it was your ass! I think the most priceless moment of this week was when we were walking back from Jenn's bachelor pad and saw this guy do a u-turn right beside a church. The church's sign actually said "Jesus Allows U-turns." And from this moment on, I think I will try to put that on a t-shirt w/ the Jesus-buddy picture.
*Edit: Jenn took a picture of her ass just for me. I feel special...and grossed out by the deep black of her bruise...*

Back to Stress, Back to School

It's that time of year again. Feeling anxious, and stressed, over the unknown and the known. I know that school will be heavy, but I don't exactly know what I am in store for. I am looking forward to music, especially band. I just found out that the audition for the Hart House Symphonic is next tuesday! Good thing I have a number of things already in mind to play, but I think the audition is only about 5 mins. so I will probably be doing an orchestral excerpt. Or possibly one of my 20th century pieces.
I still can't believe how fast the summer went, though. It seems like just yesterday when I was writing my final exams. I had a pretty good summer. I really miss the heat. I hate having to put on a jacket just to go outside. Time to get my shoes out again. I love to live in sandals in summer, so its like a nail in the coffin when its too cold to wear them. I normally love september, maybe b/c it's my birthday in about 4 days, but now I have this sense of dread again (most likely from school!)
Other news.
My baseball team lost on the second day of the tournament, so we didn't really place anywhere. The second day of the tournament was NASTY. Rain, rain, and more rain. Then came some fog. And everything was slippery...except for the gloves of our opponents. But I still had fun...mostly...except for the rain and the losing.
