Goodbye 2006, Hello 2007!
It is yet again another end to yet another year. 2006 was pretty good I'd say, somewhat productive, yet I'm still not in a band, which is still fustrating.
I am starting to think about what I should be doing with my life. I'm looking at different career avenues, such as writing. I realized I can't be a writer or journalist or something like that because I'm not writing anything other than essays and the occasional blog post.
So I would like to try to create a second blog in which I can post whatever writings I plan to do, short stories and such. I need blog title suggestions. (That is if anyone actually reads this post.)
Title Ideas:1.
Sugar in my Tea, Pepper in my Coffee- this is actually from a song by one of my favorite bands (the pepper and coffee part.)
2. Of Laughter and Soft Lies
- this is from The End by The Doors (one of my fav songs)
3. Desperate Land
- again, this is from The End by The Doors
4. Silence and Sound
- i. this is online, so its not something to be heard yet ii. there is a voice to it all (does that make sense??)
5. Fontanelle
- one of two "soft spots" on a newborn's skull which allows the brain to grow as the baby gets older. I just saw it as growth and expanding knowledge.
6. Verisimilitude
- (from Latin verisimilitudo, from verus true + similitudo similitude)
- is the state or quality of something which exhibits the appearance of reality or truth. (thanks wikipedia!)
Ok so vote now, and we'll see what happens.

Soundtrack of my Life apparently...
I stole this from Scott's facebook notes and did my own...hurray for copycating. I have over 1400 songs on my windows player, so this should be interesting!
So, here's how it works:
1. Open your music library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle/Random
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Write a tiny blurbYOU CAN’T CHEAT OR SKIP SONGS!
Opening Credits:
- Who's going to ride your wild horses? by U2 *I think thats a pretty good choice. Best choice to be sure.
Waking Up:
- Gimme Some Lovin' by the Blues Brothers *That kinda makes me want to get up in the morning!
First Day At School:- Miles from the Sun by Bush *Makes sense to me!
Falling In Love:- Warning Sign by Coldplay *Definitely true
Breaking Up:- Dido and Aeneas, Recitative "Thy Hand, Belinda!" by Henry Purcell *For those of you who don't know, this is an opera song about a woman who dies b/c her heart was broken. Although this might not apply totally to me, it still seems funny that this came up...
Prom:- Beast Of Honor by Melissa Auf Der Maur *Almost ironic
Life's OK:- Theme song to Patch Adams *That is so correct it's almost scary
Breakdown:- Overture to Jesus Christ Superstar *Wow...if you've ever heard this then it pretty much describes things sometimes
Driving:- Road Trippin by Red Hot Chili Peppers *Anyone who knows me, knows I don't drive, but if I did, this would be a top choice.
Flashback:- Paint it Black by The Tea Party *I just like this cover. I don't know how it would be a flashback, but I guess it would be b/c I've been diggin this song for a long time.
Getting Back Together:- Laughing by The Guess Who *Aw that's sweet, but getting back together never happens.
Wedding:- Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin *Oh Totally right, but not my wedding song :P That would be a different song, therefore Windows Media player fails.
Sex Scene:- All my Love by Led Zeppelin *That's lyrically correct I suppose
Birth of Child:- Simple Kind of Life by No Doubt *This scared me b/c this song has a different meaning to me that this.
Final Battle:- The Steward of Gondor by Howard Shore; sung by Billy Boyd (LOTR:Return of the King) *this made me laugh.
Death Scene:- Dying by Hole *this made me laugh even harder. Go figure?!
Funeral Song:- Silentium by Avro Part *wow that's beautiful
Dance Sequence:- We are Not Alone by Karla DeVito *hahahaha
End Credits:- Canada's Loser Prime Ministers by Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie *I'll be PM until Hell Gets Cold!!!!
Well that was kind of interesting...I did get a few suprising results, but it was still a good way to kill some time.
To Redo or Not to Redo
So I messed around w/ the template of my blog. Does it look better or worse? I seem to have forgotten html coding so it didn't turn out as I wanted it. Ah, the things I do when I'm bored. I've been too busy during the last semester to really post anything, and I think that my life has been a bit too boring for my posts to be interesting anyways. I should probably try to make an effort but I don't know who even reads this anyways.
But semester 1 is over with now and for once I got to sleep in. It was wooonderful.Strangely enough, I got used to waking up every morning trying to plan out my 'to-do' list in my head and I woke up this morning with nothing to-do. I ended up doing nothing at all! Watched t.v. and messed around w/ my blog formatting. I probably should try to organize my school notes for my upcoming exams, but I'm now procrastinating. Veggitating just feels too good at the moment.
I found out that I'm working Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. I appreciate the extra hours, but I just *shudder* at the thought of what Christmas Eve will be like in the post office. Hoping people WILL realize that I'm not Mrs. Clause and I can't get their mail through overnight...unless I feel like performing a christmas miracle. Or a
Festivus Miracle (that seems easier!)
I wonder where I'd have to look to find myself a Pole....:P
